TodoPaper Plugin Thoughts
I've been working on cleaning up the plugin system for TodoPaper and wanted to share an idea I had. Basically, I've been wanting to have a simple timer for some of my todos, so I had been running a separate application when I started/stopped work. Then I thought how interesting it would be to add in some tag extensions to TodoPaper that became little interactive widgets when you add them into the document. So, in the instance of a todo timer you would type @timer and a little timing widget would be embedded. Clicking the little widget would start and stop the timer, and it would accumulate the minutes and hours the timer was running. When you saved the file, this widget is automatically converted to text, like "@timer(00:45)".
What do you think? Would a plugin like this be useful to you?

I know. I'm sorry it has taken this long. But, I can tell you that the app that I have been developing is quality. Version 2 has been in private beta for a while, and if it weren't for all of the generous people who have helped me throughout this year, this would have been a much longer process.
I don't generally put dates to my releases, but I will say that I am planning and pushing myself to release a public beta of TodoPaper 2 by the 1st of January. I'll be posting to the blog frequently between now and then about the things you'll be seeing the public beta release.
If you need anything else in the meantime, feel free to get in touch: http://widefido.com/contact/
